As employees of the Academy Foundation, our knowledge and labor are central to the Academy’s work to preserve the history of motion pictures and make that history accessible to all communities. In forming our union, we affirm our value and ensure that our input is meaningful. As union members, we will put the Academy’s commitment to equity, sustainability, and transparency into practice as we advocate for job security and autonomy, improved benefits, fair compensation, and workplace safety. 

Because we believe in the Academy's future and want it to succeed, we are forming the Academy Foundation Workers Union.
